Then the stories began to appear; painting as a means of storytelling. I also played with borders and edges, messing with the picture plane. I have no idea where I got these ideas. I was just painting my life.
There was very little contemporary art to look at in Boston at this time, just music. Dark, strange music that became the center of my life. I swear it saved me on various occasions. It became a matter of survival; being with the music and creating the art.
