After four months in the wild west minimal sprawl of 1950s time-warp Albuquerque, I returned to Boston, where almost immediately I became involved with the local punk music scene. This was timing! I began painting again during the summer of 1979. This is just how I saw the world during those early years. All these windows staring...
These are the beginnings of finding my own voice as an artist, as a painter. My first real body of work is now in its earliest stages. The paintings feel like the music I was enveloped in at the time, expressed visually through one particular misfit in her early twenties.
