Sometimes I just get a kick out of something. I have always collected shells, rocks, pods, strange little artifacts that are usually, but not always, from the natural world. These paintings are about beauty and curiosity and wonder. See the About the Artist page for more info on this work.

The portrait was a commission from a collector who loves my rabbit paintings. I accepted it as a way to reintroduce myself to the human figure, which I unintentionally left behind in 1995. So there will be figurative paintings again in the future, but I have a feeling they will be as influenced by my landscape abstractions as they would by any of my previous figurative work.
