These earlier paintings on canvas are pictures of stories, thought made pictorial, painted mostly from my own experiences and personal observations of being this human being on this planet. Metaphors were mixed, and two or three themes may have shared a canvas. These are a sampling of about 100 paintings I created during this period, after receiving my BFA and before I began the smaller works on panels. Nearly half of these paintings have sold. I paint how I see and therefore my paintings come to reside in that ethereal and intuitive place between reality and surrealism, which I think reveals the true nature of life when all six senses are keenly attuned.
